The Bison Ranch at Coteau Ridge herd began in 1991 when we picked out 50 heifer calves from the Heppers (Flying H Ranch in North Dakota).

We have expanded that herd with some Roosevelt cows and by retaining the best of the crop each year, and today we have 250 head of young top-quality cows. We breed these cows to solid bulls from great herds (M-line [Throlson], Slim Buttes, Rossow, Bar-X, Custer and Roosevelt lines) and are pleased with the quality of calves we wean each fall. They are long and deep with thick hind quarters, a nice head and good dark coat of hair. They would make an excellent foundation herd or addition to your herd.

The Bison Ranch was featured on the
front of a national magazine.

The Bison Ranch at Coteau Ridge is proud to have been named the National Bison Association Host Ranch for the 2002 Summer Conference! We are members of the National Bison Association, the North Dakota Buffalo Association and the North American Bison Association.

Whether you are on a mission to put your first herd together or are just looking to add some quality stock to your established herd, we can help you! You can't go wrong with Coteau Ridge Bison for your herd! Come take a look; we'd be more than happy to talk buffalo with you! Give us a call at (701) 252-6853 or drop us an e-mail at justask@thebisonranch.com. Or write us at: The Bison Ranch, Box 112, Pingree, ND 58476.
