The
Bison Ranch is located on the foothills of the Coteau Ridge , which boasts one of
the highest density of potholes per square mile in the entire
country! Go to our "Where's Coteau" page to see where we
fit on that map--in east central North Dakota, right in the heart
of the Central Flyway and Prairie Pothole Region of the United
States!
Featured twice
on ESPN's "Backroads with Ron & Raven" this
hunting haven has hosted hunters from all over the United States,
and they never cease to be amazed at the abundance and number
of feathered species we see floating on our potholes and scurrying
over our wide open prairies. Besides world-class
waterfowl hunting and upland game hunting , we offer whitetail
deer hunts, bison hunts, elk hunts and some small game hunts.
Whatever you wish to pursue, a trip to The Bison Ranch at Coteau
Ridge means a lot of good hunting on private land in the heart
of the prairie potholes with Oren Krapp (below) owner,
guide and outdoor enthusiast. |

"Oren, Great
bluegill hunt !
Despite what everybody said,
Oren, you're a good shot!
Rio thanks you too!" |
We
offer thousands
of acres of private virgin rolling prairie and CRP (Conservation
Reserve Program land) that is teeming with waterfowl, upland
game, whitetail deer, red fox and coyote.
At Coteau Ridge, the waterfowl, upland
game and deer hunting seasons last from September through November.
Bison and elk hunting is offer ed
year round, but bison hides are most lustrous between mid-November
through mid-March.
While The Bison Ranch is known as a premier destination for waterfowl
and upland game hunting, many of our clients come here for combo
hunts, hunting big game, waterfowl, upland game and small game
(mostly coyotes.)
