What to expect with a coyote
hunt at The Bison Ranch:
The need to dress in layers. Coyote
season is typically cold in North Dakota!
Electronic
calls are nice but hand-held calls work too!
Free rein on as much private land
as you can hunt! Note: ND law prohibits you from driving off
established trails.
Guidance from Oren, who has lived
on the land all his life and knows how a coyote lives and thinks!
With proper licensing, you may hunt coyote in combo
with any other type of in-season wildlife for no extra charge.
Best
time to hunt: Dec - Feb. Bonus: you may hunt them at night, but
only with the use of a D-cell flashlight.

Thankfully, bison can stand up
to coyotes--or we wouldn't have a herd out there on the ridge!
And it's not only bison, but bison hunters, that like to scare
up a coyote.
Whether you want to hunt coyote in combination with any other
hunt, or you'd rather come out just to call coyotes, we can about
guarantee that if you come between the first of December and
the last of February, you'll have a memorable time hunting our
most abundant predator.
SEASON: Year-round.
Nonresidents must possess the following licenses:
Nonresident Fishing, Hunting, and Furbearer Certificate - $2.
Nonresident Furbearer and Nongame License - $25. |
